Admissions Criteria
The First Academy is a covenant school. Therefore, we require that at least one parent / guardian be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior.
- Applicants should generally score in the 60% (percentile) and above on reputable standardized tests (SAT, Iowa, FCAT, etc.).
- The First Academy expects exemplary behavior from its students. Applicants must have commendable behavioral records to be considered for admission.
Application Process
Students seeking enrollment at The First Academy must submit a completed student application to the Admissions Office. Completed applications include:
- Completed Student Application
- $100 non-refundable application fee
- Copy of previous year and most recent report cards (Kindergarten exempt)
- Copy of most recent standardized test scores (Kindergarten exempt).
- Copy of birth certificate
- Church reference form
- Teacher reference forms
Applying students must complete entrance testing as determined necessary by the Admissions Office. When an application is complete, a family conference is scheduled with the appropriate divisional principal(s). Families will attend the conference without their child for grades K4-5. Students entering grades 6 through 12 will meet with a TFA administrator. The purpose of the family conference is to explain the mission and expectations of the school and allow parents the opportunity to share their expectations and personal walk with Jesus Christ.
