program is to fulfill the mission of the school through competition in interscholastic sports. The objective of the program at all levels is to develop a lifestyle of mental, physical and spiritual fitness that is manifested through self-discipline, sportsmanship, cooperation, loyalty, and pride in one's self, school, and community.

The school is a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association and is proud to field varsity teams in 14 different sports. Participation is offered at the appropriate level as early as the sixth grade, with an average of 74% of the total student population in grades 6 through 12 participating in at least one sport.

The school has won numerous district, region, and state titles as well as many academic team championships. In 2007, The First Academy was selected to receive an inaugural FHSAA Rozelle Sportsmanship Award, only one of seven schools so honored in the state of Florida.

A Note from the Athletic Director

Dear Parents,

I would like to welcome you to The First Academy Athletic Department and encourage you and your student to become involved in our athletic program. Extracurricular activities such as interscholastic sports are an important component of your student’s experience here at The First Academy. Athletics help provide an opportunity to learn many life lessons and develop qualities through participation that will help your student reach their potential as a future Christian leader.

We strive to produce athletes who first and foremost have an active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and who can perform at the highest level within the sport in which they participate. Our programs continually strive for excellence as we compete for championships in many different athletic venues. We at The First Academy look forward to serving your family as we partner together to build “Champions for Christ”.

There will be a mandatory parent meeting scheduled before each season in order to discuss team expectations as well as give parents an opportunity to address questions or concerns. Those dates are:
