AR BOOKFIND

This database, created by the company that facilitates Accelerated Reader, allows a search of the entire database of AR Quizzes. If they make a test for the book, you'll find it here! If you want to see and search a list of the 7,100 AR books the library owns, type in the keycode AD650752 in the white Keycode box. If the library doesn't have the book, you may still take the quiz here, you just have to get the book from the public library or a bookstore.

Orange County Public LIbrary

The Public Library has so many resources that you'll be rushing out to get your public library card if you don't already have one! Two of the best services are home delivery and their virtual library.

 Welcome to the Royal Library

The First Academy Library exists to encourage students to become lifelong learners. It assist students in acquiring the skills they need to become proficient consumers and producers of information. In the centrally-located Library Media Center, every student is encouraged to make reading a way of life.

Information is found in many places and formats in today's world. The First Academy's collection has been developed to support our school's curriculum, grade level by grade level. There are over 23,000 volumes, current periodicals that appeal to all grade levels that provide an excellent collection of classical and Christian fiction, as well as videos and online resources like World Book Online.

The libraries work closely with the Technology Department. The networked computers run the Internet, the library search engine - OPAC Concourse, and Microsoft Office programs.

Accelerated Reader Program Improves

TFA now has the new Accelerated Reader Enterprise! This is a subscription service that gives you access to every AR quiz made - and more than 250 quizzes are added every month! To search this list and find if your book has a quiz, use the link at right to go to arbookfind.com. Quizzes must still be taken at school.

AR Home Connect: Home Connect will allow parents to take a look at: AR progress for the reporting period or for the entire year; virtual bookcase with covers of all the AR books your child has read since they have been at TFA; number of words read (based on AR books read and quizes passed), and vocabulary achievements (for separate vocabulary quizzes taken).
Click here to visit AR HomeConnect.

Pre-tests for AR: Book Adventure is not associated with Accelerated Reader, or Renaissance Place, but it has over 7,000 quizzes for students to practice on at home. Participants can also win actual prizes if they earn enough reading points! This is a great resource for parents and students to check test readiness.
