Congratulations to Jake Albert, Class of 2009 for being selected as the 2014-15 Dr. Scott Medical School Scholarship winner. Jake attended The First Academy for 11 years. Crediting The First Academy as more than college preparatory school, Jake reminds us that it’s a family in which fostered his growing faith in the Lord.

After his high school graduation in 2009, Jake took the roots established at TFA and attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, a private Christian college. Studying Exercise Science and exploring various fields in medicine, Jake worked his way towards a 2013 graduation and a conviction to begin a career serving as a physician.

Jake is enrolled in the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Jake’s aspiration to be a physician is rooted in the belief that leaders serve. Upon graduation from medical school, Jake aspires to use the gifts of leadership and medical acumen to serve people selflessly, lead a medical care team prudently, and invest in both patients and coworkers through relationships built along the way.
