Dear TFA Families,
It is with great excitement that we announce Jennifer Jackson as the new Lower
School principal. Mrs. Jackson joined The First Academy in 2010, after serving the past twelve years at various public elementary schools throughout Gainesville and Orlando. Mrs. Jackson’s experience ranges from educating students with learning and emotional disabilities to teaching exceptionally achieving and gifted students. For the past five years, Mrs. Jackson has taught all of the Learning-i.e. classes, as well as coached the 6th-8th grade Mathletes, and coordinated accommodation plans for students with documented disabilities.
Mrs. Jackson holds a Masters of Education Degree in Special Education from The University of Georgia, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Furman University. She is married to her husband Jay and has two daughters who attend The First Academy. Mrs. Jackson also attends and volunteers at First Baptist Windermere in the Children’s Ministry and Vacation Bible School.
