A NOTE FROM MRS. JACKSON
Welcome to the first week of school. I am so happy to have students, teachers, and parents on
campus again. The hallways have been very quiet this summer compared to the school year and our
summer staff have been working hard to get the classrooms and hallways ready for a great year.
Many students have been getting a jump start on those AR goals so we have seen some familiar and
new faces throughout the summer.
My prayer is that this summer was a blessing for your family. Welcome to all of the new families who
are joining us this year. I am looking forward to a strong partnership with both our new and returning
families. There is a lot to learn these first few days (even for those of us who have been around for
some time) but we are here as a school to serve you and walk alongside you as we all “Grow in
Wisdom.” I am really excited about our school year theme. I do not know if you noticed at Meet
your Teacher but each classroom has a bible verse over it relating to wisdom. We can never hide
enough of God’s word in our hearts and we want take every opportunity we can to equip ourselves
with that knowledge and wisdom throughout the year. Thank you again for entrusting us with your
children. It’s going to be a fantastic school year!
We would like to welcome the following staff to Lower School for the 2015‐2016 school year:
● Melissa Pifer ‐ Clinic
● Corrinne McDonald ‐ Clinic
● Laura Golden ‐ K‐Prep Aide (yes . . . it is the same Mrs. Golden who used to teach Spanish and
we are glad to have her back with us)
The JV and Varsity Royal Sapphires are working hard to prepare their hearts and bodies to represent The
First Academy at various events during the Fall Semester. These ladies are not performers, but worship
leaders leading others into His presence at chapels, and to victory at athletic events! The team also uses
dance as a tool to witness the gospel outside of TFA at places such as The House of Hope. Praise Him
with Dancing! Psalm 150

Please take a few moments to verify and update your contact, emergency, and pickup information in
RenWeb. This is our primary method of regular communication so it is important that we have
accurate information on each student.
Fine Arts Network (FAN)
TFA Family, now is the best time to join the Fine Arts Network (FAN) parent organization designed to
support the fine arts at TFA. Consider buying Ad space in theatre playbills or concert programs this year;
these are a great way to advertise your company or create “Break a Leg” messages for your child.
Band parents, who attend home games during marching band season, will love our new package
designed with them in mind. Please take time to review the new FAN patron levels and choose the best
one for your family. These are exciting days in the Fine Arts Department at The First Academy. We hope
to see you at student performances and art exhibits this year. Let’s see our students perform, improve,
grow, and excel this year. Go to https://thefirstacademy.org/arts/fine‐arts/ to learn more.
Thank you for your support!
The FAN Board
It’s that time of year again to drop off medications in the clinic. Just a reminder that medications must
be dropped off by parents and the proper paperwork must be completed before medication may be
dispensed to a child.
