RECOGNITION

6th Grade Bible Presentations

All throughout these last few weeks 6th grade bible classes have been working individually on their biblical shadow boxes. Each student chose a biblical character of wisdom to display and present. They made them come to life this past Tuesday and Wednesday when they shared each of their stories with the 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. Mrs. Fitzgerald’s class stepped up as leaders when they used their creative ability to influence others.      Blog post written by: Hannah Nixon

Classroom Placement

The TFA Faculty and staff are committed to providing the best educational experience for each child.  The Principal and Assistant Principal work with teacher(s) to prayerfully consider the needs of the student when making final decisions for student placement.  Class placement decisions are based on many factors which include, but are not limited to, the student’s individual learning styles as well as emotional, social, and academic needs.  Classroom structure and current teacher recommendations are also closely considered.

Faculty and staff may not be prepared—at this time—to share information regarding their assignment for the next year since we are currently in the process of finalizing teacher grade level assignments. However, God continues to bless us with a strong Lower School team.  Please continue to keep our faculty and staff in your prayers throughout the summer as they prepare for a new school year.

“Reading is a Treasure” Reading Incentive Program

At TFA, we strive to develop the love of reading in all of our students.  To help foster that love of reading, students in K4, TK and K will be participating in a “Reading is a Treasure” incentive program.  The “Reading is a Treasure” Incentive Program will last from March 14th-April 29th.

Here are the details:

  1. Each week, students can fill out a reading treasure map reading record form.  Extras are available on TFA’s Boyd-Moline library webpage
  2. After you read a story with your child, fill out the reading record.  After ten books are read, please return the reading record to your child’s teacher.  Students will then be able to choose a prize from the library chest during their library time.
