We have had a fun two weeks of Spirit Wear in celebration of Re-Enrollment. With our character trait of gratitude, it seems like a good time to tell all of our families how much we appreciate you partnering with us in the education of your child. As I meet with new families who have applied to TFA, I love to share with them how as a Christian school, our desire is to come alongside the home and the church just like the threefold cord in Ecclesiastes 4:12. Thank you so much for the honor of being a part of your child’s life and being a partner with us on this journey.
Threefold Cord

Many thanks to Mrs. Whitaker for our second Gratitude devotion. We hope it is a blessing to your family.

Florida All-State Chorus Participants
We are proud to acknowledge three TFA students who made it through a two-tiered audition process to make the Florida All-State Elementary Chorus. The performance was held on Jan. 14, 2015. Taylor Adams (TCS), Sarah Jackson, and Valaria Sanchez were among hundreds of students across the state to audition. The audition process required students to echo difficult tonal melodies, produce a pure tone quality, and sing on pitch with the correct rhythm. Qualifying students had audition scores in the top 10%. Of over 900 entries, only 210 students were chosen. After being chosen for the chorus, the students learned six pieces of music. They were the first All-state chorus group to be chosen to sing for the opening session of the Florida Music Educators Association conference, as well as perform in a full concert later in the day. Mrs. Savage is so proud of each of these talented and hard-working choir students!

Ms. Burns’ Chapel Presentation
Ms. Burns’ Kindergarten class presented a lesson on what it means to have “An Attitude of Gratitude”. We learned that attitude is the way we feel or think and gratitude is a feeling of appreciation or thanks. God’s word tells us in Colossians 3 that we should BE THANKFUL! We should SING to GOD with GRATITUDE in our HEARTS! And WHATEVER WE DO, we should do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving THANKS to GOD the FATHER through him! (Colossians 3:15-17)

Students read excerpts from the book “Let’s Be Thankful” by P.K. Hallinan and shared many reasons we have to give thanks to God each day. We watched an animated video of the story of the Ten Lepers (Luke 17:11-19) whom Jesus healed. Only one returned to give thanks to Jesus for what He had done. BE THE ONE with an Attitude of Gratitude!
