Lower School Newsletter, Week of March 17

Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:

The following is a list of chapel dates and times for March and April:

Spring Break is almost here.  I find it impossible to believe that when we return from our break we will only have 8 weeks of school left.  Enjoy the 10-day break because once we return, it will be full speed ahead until the end of May.  My hope for all of our families is that your Spring Break would be filled with fun, relaxation, and possibly some good memories.  We will be celebrating Easter at the end of our break.  Many of us will be in our home churches for Easter Sunday.  If you do not have a home church or you want to try something new for Easter, please consider visiting First Baptist Orlando.  You will most likely to see a familiar face from TFA.  Here is the link to their website where you will find the service times:  My prayer is that everyone has a wonderful break and a blessed Easter!

Grandparent’s Day

We had such a great time honoring Grandparents last Friday.  Our turnout was fantastic and  it was great to see the students “showing off” in the classroom and the gym.  Many thanks to all of the PA volunteers who gave up their time to help make the day very special.

“Reading is a Treasure” Reading Incentive Program

At TFA, we strive to develop the love of reading in all of our students.  To help foster that love of reading, student in K4, TK and K will be participating in a “Reading is a Treasure” incentive program.  The “Reading is a Treasure” Incentive Program will last from March 14th-April 29th.

Here are the details:

  1. Each week, students can fill out a reading treasure map reading record form.  Extras are available on TFA’s Boyd-Moline library webpage
  2. After you read a story with your child, fill out the reading record.  After ten books are read, please return the reading record to your child’s teacher.  Students will then be able to choose a prize from the library chest during their library time.
