Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:

The following is a list of chapel dates and times for March and April:

I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our Lower School families for a magnificent Teacher Appreciation Week!  You really outdid yourselves and I kept hearing wonderful things from the faculty and staff about everything.  We feel appreciated all year long, but all of the kind words, tokens of appreciation, volunteering of time and the delicious food were wonderful.

Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Cline’s Easter Chapel Presentation

We were really blessed by our kindergarten students’ chapel presentation the Thursday before Spring Beak.  The students from Mrs. Martin and Mrs Cline’s classes presented the Resurrection Eggs that the students make in kindergarten each year.  This has always been a special activity in kindergarten, but I think presenting it to all of the student in K4-5th grade enhanced it even more.  We partner with you and your home church to help our students grow academically, emotionally and spiritually.  Mrs. Martin, as part of the chapel closing really emphasized the most important thing any of us may learn: Jesus died for our sins so we can have a restored relationship with God.

Lower School Visits Varsity Softball

On the Friday before Spring Break, we continued our new annual tradition of attending a TFA varsity softball game.  All of the girls who attended summer camp or clinic were recognized before the start of the game.  Mrs. Jackson successfully threw the first pitch (it was a little outside, but it looked a lot less like bowling this year). Many thanks to all of the parents who helped make this event successful. We had a group of committed moms peddling candy, popcorn and drinks in the concession stand. A group of 6th graders helped transport our K4 students. What a great example of “service before self!”

3rd Grade 50’s Day Celebration

Another annual tradition at TFA is the 50’s Day Celebration in 3rd grade.  As we approach the end of the school year, the students celebrate that there are only 50 days of school left in a really fun way. The students dress in 50’s attire and have an afternoon of root beer floats, bubble gum blowing contests, hula hooping, a dance party and hop scotch.  A fun time was had by all this year!

“Reading is a Treasure” Reading Incentive Program

At TFA, we strive to develop the love of reading in all of our students.  To help foster that love of reading, student in K4, TK and K will be participating in a “Reading is a Treasure” incentive program.  The “Reading is a Treasure” Incentive Program will last from March 14th-April 29th.

Here are the details:

  1. Each week, students can fill out a reading treasure map reading record form.  Extras are available on TFA’s Boyd-Moline library webpage
  2. After you read a story with your child, fill out the reading record.  After ten books are read, please return the reading record to your child’s teacher.  Students will then be able to choose a prize from the library chest during their library time.

Have you started making summer plans for your children?  We have camps available for all students ranging from K4 – 12th grade.  Be sure to register as soon as possible, as some camps have a limited number of spots available.

SummerQuest is also open to students who do not attend TFA.  We would love to see students from other schools have an opportunity to visit our amazing campus and experience our wonderful teachers and coaches.  Please feel free to share the link below with anyone who might be interested.

To register, please visit and be sure to select the appropriate grade level for your child to see all available courses.  We look forward to another year of record enrollment in SummerQuest camps.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Doug Cohen, Summerquest Coordinator, at or 407-206-8634.
