“First people will tell you that you are wrong. Then they will tell you that you are right, but what you’re doing isn’t really important. Finally, they will admit that you are right and that what you are doing is very important; but after all, they knew it all the time.” -Jonas Salk (developer of the Salk polio vaccine)

Happy 100th Birthday to Jonas Salk!
Salk was born on October 28, 1914 in New York City. He discovered the polio vaccine in 1955 stopping the epidemic in its tracks. Salk never patented the vaccine. He did not earn any money from it.

“One Hundred Years From Now”
One hundred years from now
It won’t matter
What kind of car I drove
What kind of house I lived in
How much money I had in the bank
Nor what my clothes looked like
The world may be a little better
Because, I was important
In the life of a child.
Thank you Jonas Salk for being important in the lives of children.
We continue to pray for the impact our Magnificent Middle School Students will make upon the world 100 years from now.
