This past Thursday (March 3) the Royal Concert Band participated in the Florida Bandmasters Association District Music Performance Assessment. This professionally adjudicated event was held locally at Edgewater High School.
The band earned a Superior rating and has now qualified for State MPA in April. The students began preparing the music for this evaluation in January. This was also the first time that the TFA band received a Superior rating in Sight Reading. During this portion of the evaluation, the band has to sight read two never before seen complete pieces of music. The next opportunity to hear the TFA band live is April 26th at 7pm in Faith Hall.
