TCS Newsletter, Week of 12/4

Please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:

• Dec. 11: Class Parties at Lunch
• Dec. 11: TCS Spirit Day (or Christmas wear)
• Dec. 12 – 19: Work at home week
• Dec. 19: TCS offices close at 12:00

Last Day of Classes
Last day of classes at school will be Thursday, Dec 11. Class Christmas parties will be during lunch on this day. You should be hearing from your room moms for the details.

Work at Home Week
Work at home week. Work will be assigned each day in each class. All work will be due on Jan 6. Students will not come to school on Tuesday and Thursday, they will work from home.

Lower School Basketball
The flyer says Friday, December 9th, but the email says December 5. I have decided from some responses that we will end registration on Wednesday, December 10th. This will give you and myself more time to register and put teams together. Sorry for the confusion!

I have included the updated flyer.

AR Tests
Because the TCS office will be closing at 12:00, all AR tests must be taken by 11:30.

You should have received an email from Don Baker at TFA listing the remaining senior items needed. Please make sure you are on top of getting these things taken care of. Let me know if you have any questions.

Also remember you are required to apply to 3 colleges and most colleges’ application deadline is December 15th. If you have not begun this process, please do so immediately.

If you have not yet taken either the ACT or SAT, please sign up to take one or both of these test by February and plan to take again in March, April or May, if necessary.

The Flint Sisters

Clara and Maddie Flint are taking full advantage of TFA sports and doing very well. Clara (8th grade) was on the Freshman Volleyball team in the fall and Maddie (6th grade) was on the 7th grade Volleyball team.

Both Clara and Maddie are currently starters on the high school JV soccer team.

In addition to being involved at TFA, they also play on club teams. Maddie’s Orlando City Youth Soccer team won gold (in the gold bracket!) at Disney Thanksgiving weekend. Way to go girls! Keep it up.
