A Note from Sarah Donovan, Principal Extended Educational Programs
The school year is off to a strong start! We welcomed The Classical School students back on Tuesday. The TCS SGA students and Rowdy cheered on the students as they arrived. The TCS Kindergarten parents joined us for a ‘Boo Hoo’ breakfast after they said goodbye to their little ones. The First Hope students have been busy getting back into the swing of things as they began their second week of school. The Early Learning Center preschool is growing and we are welcoming new families each week!
On Thursday, September 3rd, I am hosting a ‘Breakfast with the Principal’ at 8:15-9:00AM. It is being held in the E2 building in room 225, which is located in The Classical School. I welcome all Extended Educational Program parents to join me in kicking off the school year and spending time getting to know one another. I hope to see you there!
RECOGNITION – PJ Wehry
Mr. Wehry is one of our brand new TCS teachers. He joins us this year as Middle and High School Bible Teacher. So far, PJ loves that TCS parents are involved with their kids. “Whatever I teach in the classroom will be brought up and discussed at home. That’s great for a student’s memory and for their critical thinking skills.”
You may be interested to know Mr. Wehry and his wife recently had a baby boy named Finn 5 mos ago and just moved to Florida this month!! Ireland is his favorite vacation spot.

New students to TFA and all Kindergarten and 7th grade students must have up-to-date immunization and health records on file. Avoid the rush at the beginning of the school year and drop these off anytime between 8:00am-3:00pm to the TCS Office.
Middle & Upper School Tardies and Attendance
As we begin the new year, please remember our teachers only have 2 days with your student each week. Being in class, on time and ready to learn is essential for their academic progress. We greatly appreciate your assistance in this area.
Dear TFA Family,
Now is the best time to join the Fine Arts Network (FAN) parent organization designed to support the fine arts at TFA. Consider buying ad space in theatre playbills or concert programs this year; these are a great way to advertise your company or create “Break a Leg” messages for your student. Band parents, who attend home games during marching band season, will love our new package designed with them in mind.
Please take time to review the new FAN patron levels and choose the best one for your family. These are exciting days in the Fine Arts Department at The First Academy. We hope to see you at student performances and art exhibits this year. Let’s see our students perform, improve, grow, and excel this year. Go to https://thefirstacademy.org/arts/fine-arts/ to learn more.
Thank you for your support!
