The Classical School Blog, Week of August 3

IMPORTANT DATES

Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:

A Message from Joe Fana, Principal of The Classical School

Thomas Edison, quite possibly the greatest United States inventor of the 20th Century – if not ever – was a homeschooled student.  Edison, who enjoyed the exploration of new ideas and was quite curious as a child, found much success when he began his homeschool journey through the guidance of his mother, Nancy.  According to The Thomas Edison Museum at Menlo Park, “His interest in science was first sparked when his mother bought him his first scientific book, The School of Natural Philosophy. He thoroughly studied the book and performed all the experiments described in it at home. He soon set up his own laboratory in his room and began performing original experiments.”  Edison’s early education laid a firm foundation of one of the most impactful minds our world has encountered.

Do you have friends or families who you have shared your journey with and have a desire to have a lasting impact in their child’s life through The Classical School? We would love to have the opportunity to visit with them to share more benefits of our hybrid program. We conduct individualized tours – please encourage them to schedule one today by calling 407-206-8762.
