The First Academy Preschool, Week of April 11th

Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:

Message from Sarah Donovan,  Principal of The Extended Educational Programs

“Let them be little.” This phrase, while simple, is true. At TFA’s Preschool we want our youngest Royals to explore the world around them through purposeful play. In our fast paced digital era, many early learning programs are trending toward high-performance standards and ability checklists. While it is important for our little learners to flourish academically, socially,  and spiritually- we want them to do so through interactions with the world around them. This may in the form of make believe, our outdoor gardens, or singing together at circle time. We are blessed to be able to let our little ones be little at The First Academy Preschool!

Message from Mrs. Grayson Merritt, Director/Assistant Principal

Arts In April

Please be sure to check out our halls on Wednesday, April 20th and Thursday, April 21st in both the E1 and E2 building.  We will be showcasing precious pieces of artwork that our teachers have selected to showcase all of the hard work that has been taking place in their classrooms!  Several of the 2’s and 3’s art work choices are from the unit we did in February where we focused on famous artists including Van Gogh, Matisse, Michelangelo and Pollack.  We are so excited to share these with you and so proud of our little friends and all their hard work!
