Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:
The Life We Never Expected by Andrew and Rachel Wilson
Did you know the tradition of Homecoming started at alumni football games at universities in the 19th century? This tradition still stands strong today, and has officially arrived at TFA! We have been celebrating Homecoming week from the Preschool to the High School students with our themed dress up days. New to our Homecoming celebration this year is the first TCS Homecoming Court, King, and Queen. The King and Queen will be crowned at TCS this week. Please join me in praying for a fun-filled and safe Homecoming weekend for our students.
JD was recognized at Friday night’s football game for his First place finishes in the Special Olympics Regional Swim Meet. JD said it was the best night of his life! JD’s parents, Jason and Lindsey, shared how thankful they are for TFA and the love and acceptance of the faculty, staff, students, and families. Lindsey shared that “when JD was diagnosed with Autism at 2 years old, I remember being determined to find a school where he could grow up alongside his siblings. I never wanted him to feel different or left out. Seeing him jump around with excitement at the game made me realize that we achieved that goal. JD feels loved, safe, and encouraged daily. You all played a big role in that last night by giving him this unforgettable experience.”
Leadership is a spiritual gift God gives you. You can work on the skills of being a better leader, but God grows leaders. Our leader over The Extended Educational Programs (TEEP) is Mrs. Sarah Donovan. She has been here almost a year in a half and has done a tremendous job growing all three programs she is leading. Mrs. Donovan does a great job bridging the inclusion of all three programs with the other TFA divisions. We are so grateful that she is the leader of TEEP and let’s all thank her for the great leadership of our division. Our division is so valuable to The First Academy (Preschool, The Classical School, and The First Hope) and I am also grateful to be leading The First Hope. Thank you, Mrs. Donovan.
