The First Hope Newsletter, Week of 12/10

Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:

A Message from Sarah Donovan, Principal of Extended Educational Programs
As 2015 winds down, The Extended Educational Programs leadership team has been looking ahead and preparing for a strong future at TCS, The First Hope, and The ELC Preschool. We have developed five year plans that outline our strategic goals to enhance our programs to be the best in their fields. These were developed based on SWOT (strength, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis feedback from faculty, staff, and families. We are grateful for our program blessings and excited for many more in the years to come!

Koby (9th) helps Hao (1st) with an app. Hao started to sit down and Koby just sat down next to him and worked with him. This was all natural. I love how our students help one another with so many different social, academic, and behavioral skills. Thank you Koby!

Tierra Brown
Inclusion 9-12 Paraprofessional

This is Ms. Tierra’s second year with The First Hope and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her be a part of our TFH community. Ms. Brown dedicates a lot of her time to TFH and TFA. Outside of her working hours with TFH she is TFA’s Girls Basketball Coach. She enjoys working with children and she says the thing she loves the most about TFH is serving our students in such a fun atmosphere while being family oriented and Christ centered. She have develops some great relationships with students and finds a way to connect to each and every one.

Only a few short weeks until we celebrate the most important birthday all year long… Christ was born! This is a super busy time of the year for all of us. We fill our days as it gets closer to Christmas with so many social events, tasks, shopping, and so on. Let’s be reminded to take a breath and enjoy the days that lead up to Christ’s birth, celebrating Him and what He did for us. He died on the cross so that we could live forever. It is always so humbling that He loves me that much. Instead of rushing around, maybe think of just one thing you can do to help serve someone else, be kind to someone else, or take the time to help someone.
