The First Hope Newsletter, Week of Feb. 11

Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:

A Message from Sarah Donovan, Principal of The Extended Educational Programs
This past Saturday, I had the honor of spending the day with teachers and leadership from TCS, The First Hope, and the Preschool at the Florida Kindergarten Council’s annual conference. We were able to share insight and ideas with fellow early childhood educators. It fills my leadership bucket and heart to spend time and collaborate with our strong teachers. There were representatives from across the state of Florida who sparked strong ideas for our programs. It’s such a gift and blessing to bring back such knowledge to our TEEP programs!

“When One Bible Isn’t Enough”

Grant Feuer enjoys spending his break time reading the bible. He likes to have three different versions of the bible open at the same time so that he can compare the different versions of the same story. Grant has expressed an interest in becoming a pastor, but for now he enjoys enthusiastically sharing his understanding of the Word.

Nanci Johnson
Inclusion 6-8 Para Professional
This is Nanci’s first year teaching at The First Hope and we couldn’t be more happy to have her. Nanci’s love for her students and families is very apparent. Even though Nanci has only been here a short time, her students have made quite the impression on her. One of things that she loves most about working at The First Hope is having the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of her students each and every day. Additionally, Nanci is a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. This Valentine’s Day Nanci will celebrate 34 years of marriage!

As I have been already planning for 2016-17 for many months now, I am looking on this our 7th year of such tremendous growth. Growth in numbers for sure: 36 students and 25 staff. God began this school with 5 students and 4 staff. I know He is marveled at how much is going on here and He keeps guiding me on what needs to happen in the future. As you know we are a unique school for some really great, talented, and unique students whom He has created. Thank you parents for trusting us to help your child. Thank you for partnering with us to help your child make measured gains. Thank you for the sacrifices you make each and everyday for your child.
