The Great Commission

Written by Dr. Whitaker, Head of School

Our campus is buzzing with excitement about the launch of our new program, The Virtual Academy. As a father and the Head of School, I understand why everyone is so excited about this opportunity to customize their schedule and, ultimately, their education.

Education looks different today than in years past. Students now have the ability to make decisions about the way they would like to learn. Colleges are offering many courses online and that freedom of choice can begin at The First Academy. We are empowering students to learn on their schedule and in the way that best suits their goals and interests. Next year, our well-rounded student body will have the flexibility to pursue and perfect their God-given talents while receiving a rigorous, college-preparatory Christian education.

I am passionate about reaching and teaching children about Christ. The Virtual Academy is going to expand our ability to impact students. TVA will serve families all over the world, including countries where attending a Christian school would be difficult or impossible. Our TVA Hybrid students will have the opportunity to connect with a global student network and share their stories of faith. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus asks us to “go and make disciples of all nations,” and I believe The Virtual Academy will continue the evangelical mission of our great school.
