On December 17 and January 7, TFA students and faculty assisted in laying sod at Marine Sgt. Tovet’s home. Sgt. Tovet grew up in the Orlando area before enlisting in the Marine Corps in June 2006. While deployed in Afghanistan, he was injured by an IED blast. His injuries prompted the amputation of his left leg above the knee and surgical reconstruction of his hand and right lower leg. Sgt. Tovet was able to share his story with the Upper School Wounded Warrior club earlier this year.

NEW THIS WEEK

Spirit Wear

Due to the expected cold temperatures, students are allowed to wear “Spirit Wear” for the remainder of the week (January 7 – January 9).

REMINDERS

Outerwear

Reminder from the Parent-Student Handbook: School uniform and school-approved outerwear must be worn on campus at all times. In the case of cold weather, winter coats may be worn outside the school buildings. During extreme cold weather, the school will notify students and parents of Spirit Wear dress. Girls may not wear sweat pants, warm ups, etc. under skirts.

TFA outerwear is available for purchase in the TFA School Store.
