At The First Academy, the role of the School Board is to make viability-focused decisions for the next generation of students. We focus our work to three areas: advancing the mission, funding the vision, and securing the legacy. Allow us to take a moment to update you on these areas.

ADVANCING THE MISSION

With only a little over a year remaining on our Strategic Plan, Leading the Way, Finishing the Task, I want to encourage you to review our progress report (included). Please join me in celebrating the many blessings we have experienced and in praying for God’s continued guidance.

FUNDING THE VISION

The First Academy’s operating budget is funded through tuition, while our capital projects and our continued growth in areas such as technology and spiritual formation are supported through generous donors. In 2015, TFA families generously pledged over $10 million for our Field House. The Field House not only serves our current students, but many generations to come will benefit from this state-of-the-art athletic facility. With our Royal Nation Fund, we are working to fund multiple areas: Royal Impact, Royal Scholars, Royal Ambassadors, Royal Champions, and Royal Artisans. Additionally, the School Board approves the annual operating budget and sets tuition rates for the upcoming year. We are thankful to be able to keep this year’s increase consistent with the last decade.

SECURING THE LEGACY

We now turn to the privilege of re- enrolling your children for another year at The First Academy. Enrollment at The First Academy has never been stronger, and we expect classes to fill quickly. Our partnership with your family is based on trust. Our shared mission, vision, and values call us to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders to have an impact on our world. We invite those families who wish to pursue this vision and who desire to continue a relationship of mutual trust, to re-enroll for the 2018-19 school year. Please re-enroll during the time set aside for returning families so that your family’s place at The First Academy is secure for the coming school year. Re-enrollment for all current students will begin on January 16, 2018.

Up until this point, re-enrollment has been an “Opt-In” program. Each year we ask every family, “Are you coming back?” and then we ask you to go through the cumbersome process of completing endless forms. We have decided to make things easier – no more re-enrollment paperwork will be required after this year.

We are transitioning to a Continuous Enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year and beyond. Rather than an Opt-In annual re-enrollment process, TFA’s annual re-enrollment will become a simplified Opt-Out process beginning in the 2019- 2020 school year.

On behalf of the entire School Board, we wish your family abundant blessings in the coming year and look forward to celebrating our school’s many successes with you in the months and years to come. Please join us in spreading the word about the opportunity to enroll for the 2018-2019 school year. Admissions Open House events will be held on Sunday, January 28, and Sunday, March 4. We will be there and we invite you and your friends to join us.

  • Plan of Salvation

Admit: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Pray: Lord, I admit that I am a sinner in need of a Savior.

Believe: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Call: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Pray: Lord, I believe that Jesus died and shed His blood for my sins. I believe this in my heart and not just my head. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Pray: Lord, I call upon You to save me from my sins. I confess and repent of my sins. I know that Your Son, Jesus paid my debt on the cross—a debt I could never pay despite all my good works—and I thankfully accept Your gift of eternal life in Heaven that His death makes possible.
