Andy Stanley, the Senior Pastor of North Point Church in Atlanta, wisely said, “At the end of the day, circles are better than rows…We [North Point Church] are famous for our rows, but the strength of our churches is what happens in circles.”
Every church wrestles with the need to move people from the pew to experience the critical life on life sharpening that happens in small groups. In the school setting, teachers are also working to transform their classrooms from classic “sage on the stage” lectures and implement more collaborative strategies such as project-based learning. Small groups that encourage collaborative discussion are critical for every organization.
Because circles are better than rows, we are providing an opportunity for fathers at The First Academy to gather in small groups in the fall and the spring. These small groups will be organized as 4-week book studies that meet from 7:55am – 8:25am. The fall book study will begin on Wednesday, November 8th, and the second 4-week book study will begin on March 7th, 2018.
If you are interested in participating in a fall small group, please email Patrick Barrett at firstname.lastname@example.org or stay tuned for additional registration information!
