A NOTE FROM MRS. JACKSON

For the month of March, we will be talking about Compassion.    As we talk about this very important character trait, we will define it as “caring enough to do something about someone else’s needs,”   When we look at God’s word, we see so many examples of compassion that we are called to emulate in our lives.    There are more than 90 specific references to compassion in the Bible.   Again, God emphasizes this trait with frequency to remind us of its importance.   When we look at the Old Testament, we see specific examples of how God showed compassion to his people, even when they turned away from him and were disobedient.   In the New Testament, Jesus had compassion on people in need as he healed those who were afflicted with different types of sickness.    My challenge for our students, teachers, families and even myself is to look for opportunities where we can show compassion for those around us.   How can we put our own needs aside and help meet the needs of another?

Be kind and tender to one another.

Morning Dropoff-7:30AM

This is just a friendly reminder that students may be dropped off beginning at 7:30AM.  If you arrive to school prior to that time, we request that students remain with their parents until 7:30AM.  The library and the gym are open at that time.  Student supervision does not begin until that time.

AR HomeConnect

Over the summer, we had an update to our Renaissance Learning program that we use for Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Math, and STAR Testing.  Many parents like to receive email updates when their children take Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math tests.  You can set your preferences using Renaissance Learning HomeConnect.  If you had this set up previously, you will need to complete the process again.

Library Hours
