State Math Team Competition

It was a great weekend for Lower School math.   A group of 4th-6th grade students from TFA Lower School competed in the state Math League Competition.   These students qualified for the state level with their exemplary performance and placement at area competitions earlier in the school year.     Faith, Sarah, Enzo, and Evan placed 4th overall as a team in the 6th-grade group.   Enzo placed 7th overall for his grade level and this qualified him for Nationals that will take place this summer in Texas.  We are proud of all of our math students.

6th Grade Weather Project

All 6th-grade students completed a Christian Weather Broadcast News project.  The students worked in groups and researched different cities in the U.S.    They each created a weather broadcast based on their research.  One of the requirements of their project was to incorporate a religious aspect to their broadcast.  Students then presented their broadcast to the class.

AR HomeConnect

Over the summer, we had an update to our Renaissance Learning program that we use for Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Math, and STAR Testing.  Many parents like to receive email updates when their children take Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math tests.  You can set your preferences using Renaissance Learning HomeConnect.  If you had this set up previously, you will need to complete the process again.
