Mrs. Blackwell will not only serve as the US receptionist but also as the attendance clerk for both the Upper and Middle School divisions. Recognition

Gabriela Kaiser (8th grade) was awarded an Award of Distinction for her relief print and an Honorable Mention for her 2/D painting of a “Leopard” at the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival.  Competing with over 20+ Central Florida Private and public schools.  The First Academy Middle School also was awarded an Honorable Mention in 2/D art to Olivia Blaise (7th grade) for her drawing of an “Australian Shepard”, Honorable Mention in 2/D to Isabel Crist (8th grade) for her drawing title “Converse”, an Honorable Mention in 2/D art to Zoran Diaz (7th grade) for his Repousse of an Illuminated capital of the letter “Z”, and an Honorable Mention in 3/D art to Katie Campbell for her food sculpture in ceramics called “Breakfast Plate”.  Well done and congratulations!

PA Meeting

Join other Middle School parents for our monthly Parent Association Meeting on Tuesday, April 5th, at 8:15am in First Orlando’s Faith Hall Room 301.

 

MS/US Special Chapel

Tuesday, April 5th, at 9:30am our MS students will join our Upper School students for a special chapel in First Orlando’s Student Center.  The guest chapel speaker will be Pastor David Nasser from Liberty University.

 

7th Grade Educational Extension Experience

The 7th grade students will be embarking on a thrilling marine-based Educational Extension Experience (EEE) with their ECHO Teacher and staff members of The First Academy.

  •  The EEE will focus on Life Sciences.
  •  The EEE is scheduled for Friday, April 15th, during regularly scheduled school hours…the students will return to the TFA campus for dismissal at 3:10
  •  The students should bring money for lunch and snacks.
  •  The costs of travel and admission of this EEE were included in your child’s activity fee.
  •  We are looking forward to a day filled with hands on learning.  It will be a great extension of the Life Sciences classroom!

 

8th Grade Physics Lab

Students will be taking their science learning for a ride on April 15th.  The 8th graders will be using giant waterslides to calculate their speed and acceleration while soaking in the sun.  They will also be evaluating Newton’s law of motion and how they apply to this watery adventure.
