Middle School Attendance

Recognition
8th grade students had the opportunity to teach in History class this week. Groups selected sections from chapter 18 and 19 in their books, created lesson plans and review activities for the class. Well done students!
This week is all about speed in science. The 8th graders have been working tirelessly on modifying their pine cars to make them faster or slower. I’m thrilled to see the ingenuity taking form as they speed on down the road.
Congratulations to Hunter Strayhorn for the fastest overall time of .4 seconds, and Nick Setsma for the overall slowest time of 7.9 seconds.

Alternative Lunch May 3-6
The First Academy will have alternative lunch Tuesday May 3rd thru Friday May 6th. The Junior Class is offering an alternative lunch choice each of those days for students 5-12. To order,please visit https://thefirstacademy.org/about/lunch/. Please submit your orders by Monday May 2nd by 9:00am.
Once your order has been submitted you will receive a confirmation page and an email within 15 minutes from Larissa Galloway confirming receipt of payment. You do have the option of ordering for multiple students. Food will be distributed in the Gym lobby.
