RECOGNITION

As the 8th grade students prepare to begin their new book, Call of the Wild, we took some time to get out of the classroom so that the students could have a small taste of what it would be like to be a sledge dog that has to transport hundreds of pounds of material across Alaska in the freezing cold. Or rather, in our case, 90-130 lbs. across a small grass field in 85-degree weather. Joining us for this adventure was a special guest, Lady, a spaniel who came to show us not only her good looks, but also what it takes to be a
dog. – James Grosshans-8th Grade Language Arts Instructor

NEW THIS WEEK

Middle School Chapel
Join us for our weekly chapel at 9:35am 10/30 in Henry Chapel. We will be welcoming guest speaker Ruth Williams for a very special chapel time. Mrs. Williams will be speaking on biblical organization.

Haiti Boxes
Our annual TFA service project is underway and the time is now to bring in your shoeboxes for Haiti. What an incredible opportunity for our school to make an impact on the children in Haiti, and most importantly to help spread the gospel. Please assemble as many shoeboxes as possible and turn them into your student’s Biblical Studies instructor. Students may earn service hours for each box.

Service Hours for Haiti Boxes
2 hours per box with $7 shipping money included
1.5 hours per box without shipping money

Last year our Middle School assembled well over 700 boxes. We are hoping to make a similar impact this year! Don’t forget the deadline to turn in boxes is Friday, October 31st.
