TFA senior and Fine Arts student, Olivia Bennington, received the Critics Choice Tech Award at the 2015 Florida District V Thespian Festival competition. Pictured here with Dr. Steve Whitaker, Head of School, Olivia displays her top honors trophy, which she earned for her costume designs for the musical, Pippin.
The Critics Choice is awarded to one student and is chosen by the panel of thespian judges as their pick for the “best of the best.” There were over 100 other students representing different schools in District V who also submitted their artistic work to vie for this particular award.
Olivia will now go on to compete at the State Thespian Festival in Tampa, Florida, on March 25-29, where she will again present her costume designs. Her work will be showcased in a video to be included in the Opening Ceremony at the State Thespian Festival, for the 7000 students in attendance to view.
Olivia also received Best In Show for her Makeup Design presentation, and received Superior ratings for both Costume and Makeup Designs.
In recognition of this great achievement, Olivia was featured in the latest edition of the Southwest Orlando Bulletin. View the digital edition here:
