ROYALS TRACK & FIELD

The First Academy track senior Teahna Daniels continued to set new records this week, winning a national title at the New Balance Indoor Nationals and setting a 2015 best of 7.33 in the 60m dash!

Daniels currently holds the top times nationally in the 55m dash, 60m dash and 100m dash, solidifying her spot as one of the top high school sprinters in the world!

The Track & Field team hosts the Royal Invitational on Friday at Warden Stadium.

LADY ROYALS SOFTBALL

Lady Royals Softball defeated Faith Christian last night in thrilling walk-off fashion, 6-5 at the Payne Stewart Athletic Complex last night.

The game was back and forth all night long, with neither team leading by more than two runs at any point. The Lady Royals found themselves tied, 5-5, heading to the bottom of the seventh inning and Emily Balan knocked in the winning run on a one-out double.

The First Academy improved to 9-5 on the season and return to action when they compete in the Hernando tournament this weekend.

ROYALS BASEBALL

The First Academy baseball’s Chadwick Word threw a complete game, two-hit shutout in a 4-0 victory over Montgomery Bell Academy (TN) last night at Orel Hershiser Field. The senior recorded 17 strikeouts, a personal best.

The Royals are 11-2 on the season and are riding a nine-game win streak. They are back in action when they host West Oaks Academy this Thursday.

ROYALS TENNIS

The First Academy boys tennis team is 11-2 this season and has prevailed in six consecutive matches. The Lady Royals are 8-5 with four straight victories. They host TFA-Leesburg on Thursday, March 19 at the Dizney Tennis Center.

LADY ROYALS LACROSSE

The Lady Royals fell to Creekside High School last night, falling to 8-7 on the season. They host Celebration High School tonight at Warden Stadium at 7:00 PM.

ROYALS LACROSSE

The Royals fell to West Orange High School last night, falling to 6-4 on the season. They host Windermere Prep at Warden Stadium on Saturday.

ROYALS WEIGHTLIFTING

The Royals placed second at the subsectional tournament yesterday. Several individuals will move on to the regional competition.
