Sam Latham, a sixth grade student at The First Academy recently received the American Red Cross’ highest award for his actions in saving his fathers life in August while they were traveling to Meet the Teacher night. Sam noticed his father was in pain and calmly helped his father and guided paramedics to their location off of Interstate 4.
Sam was featured on the local news and even received a signed letter from the President of the United States of America, Barrack Obama. We are proud to have Sam at The First Academy. Congratulations Sam!
