On September 25, we had the joy of welcoming a terrific group of new inductees into the Athletic Hall of Fame at The First Academy. These men and women gave selflessly of their time, talent, and treasure to advance the athletic program year after year.
Kroy was a volunteer Football Coach at TFA for 17 years and his legacy stretches much further than just a football coach as he has impacted many student-athletes lives at The First Academy. In 2008, the football field was dedicated and named after Kroy for his many years of dedication to TFA Athletics, and at our annual Sports Banquet, TFA gives a volunteer service award in honor of Kroy and Kelly.
Ginger was part of the inaugural staff at The First Academy and served for 28 years as a TFA Athletics staff member. “Mrs. Ginger” has served alongside and assisted every athletic director in TFA’s history. She is one of the vital reasons TFA Athletics performs with excellence.
Steve began his TFA basketball career in 9th Grade and quickly blossomed into one of the best in TFA history. Steve was selected a member of the Class 2A All-State First Team during his senior season and is currently the all-time leading rebounder, all-time leading shot blocker, and 5th all-time in points scored.
Pastor David Uth
Among the many fans of The First Academy, one stands out above all the rest – literally and figuratively. He didn’t give birth to TFA, but he has nurtured it like his very own. He is the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church/Orlando.
Pastor David was unable to attend the ceremony due to a previous engagement, so we prepared this video to congratulate him on this special honor. It will be played at the 9:00am & 10:45am Worship Service this Sunday.
So, on behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, families, students, and coaches, we want to congratulate Pastor David and all the new inductees on this special recognition!
