We will be celebrating our Book Fair by having a Favorite Book Character Dress Up Parade.  Come dressed as your favorite book hero, princess or character on Tuesday, October 31st and Wednesday, November 1st.  We will having a parade around the preschool halls at 9:30am after morning greeting.

Preschool Volunteer Opportunity:  If you have some time on Monday, October 30th and can help us with set-up of the book fair or on Friday, November 2nd to break down the book fair, we would love to have you.  We will be working from 9:00am-1:00pm both days and would love the extra hands.  Thank you!

*First Baptist Orlando E2 Roof Repairs:  Starting Monday, October 30th, the church will begin work on the roof of our building. This will impact our world so I wanted to be sure to let you know about some temporary changes that will be helpful:

-Parking will be limited in front of our building.  E1 has additional parking to help with overflow. Our current parking lot will be used for cranes for the roof and for equipment.

We are thankful to First Baptist for allowing us to serve in such a wonderful facility and are willing to be helpful during this time of transitions.  If you have any concerns, please contact the Preschool office (4.07) 206-8704.

TFA Preschool Gives Back

During the month of November, we will be focusing in the classroom on the theme of serving others. We feel it is important, especially with the holidays coming up, that we teach the children how important it is to serve and help others as well as others to be the hands and feet of Jesus. As a school family we want to be sure we model how to serve and show gratitude to those who have helped us and who don’t have what we do.

During November, we will have 2 different opportunities for your family to “give back”.

*Baby Item Donation:  Monday, October 30-Friday, November 10  we will be collecting items for the First Baptist Pregnancy Center.  Please consider donating any gently used baby items or new packages of diapers/wipes and formula for the pregnancy center.  These items may be dropped off in the Preschool Office.

*Thanksgiving Dinner Basket Food Donation:

-Canned Items:  green beans, gravy, cream of mushroom soup, cranberry sauce, corn, pie filling, pumpkin, yams, chicken stock

-Boxed Items:  French’s French Fried Onions, stuffing, mashed potato flakes, quick bread/corn bread mix

-Gift Certificate for turkey ($10 gift card for Publix or Walmart)

We will be collecting these items in the Preschool Office.  The last day to drop off items will be on Wednesday, November 15th.  We will be delivering our collected items (in collaboration with TFA’s Varsity Lacrosse team) to help with thanksgiving dinner baskets for local elementary schools for families in need this holiday season.

*Called to Serve:  Are you a mama with a background in education or have a love for children and a passion to serve others?  We are always looking for substitute teachers and would love to chat with you if you might be interested in helping at the preschool.
