Last week we reflected on the blessings The First Academy experienced in 2015, and God is clearly at work among us. The Lord has done incredible things already, but the future looks just as bright. As we press into the new year, I would like to highlight a few reasons why I believe the best is yet to come for students at The First Academy.
Let me share the blessings we anticipate in 2016-2017:
We will soon break ground on a world-class Field House. This facility will give us two-times the amount of space to serve our students and enhance our athletic programs. It will be the premier venue for high school sports in Central Florida.
Every division will implement a multi-year scope and sequence program for chapels that identifies key spiritual formation topics and issues.
A comprehensive spiritual formation audit will be completed to ensure biblical integration remains central to all academic and extracurricular programs on campus.
The Virtual Academy, a brand new digital platform through which The First Academy will deliver a Christ-centered, college preparatory educational experience, will open its online doors in August.
The Upper School is poised to gain entry into the Cum Laude Society and pursue National Blue Ribbon status.
In April of each year, the National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes the top 3% of PSAT scorers across the nation. The Class of 2017 has more than tripled the number of students scoring in the top 3% from one year ago.
53% of all 7th graders at The First Academy are eligible to take the SAT in 2016 through the Duke Talent Identification Program, a global leader in gifted and talented education.
We are so blessed to serve your family – and remember, the best is yet to come!
