Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:
Welcome back, TCS families! We are excited for the 2017-2018 school year. As we retreat from the beaches and fun of Summer, I do not want us to forget about the first line of our Mission Statement. “Prepare children for life as Christian leaders who choose character before career….” This statement exemplifies our desire for students to go above and beyond to demonstrate Christ-like character, whether they are in public or private. They show this character for His glory, not for their own interest. Remember to not fall into the trap of surrounding yourselves with those who are not likeminded in this statement, for in 1 Corinthians 15:32-34 states, “Bad company corrupts good character.” Let us focus on being more like Christ, no matter who is watching or for own interest – Keeping the First Things First.
Reminder for all 7th-grade students – Students must have up-to-date immunization and health records on file. Avoid the rush at the beginning of the school year and drop these off anytime between 8:00 AM-3:00 PM to the TCS Office.
Our uniform provider is Dennis Uniforms. Items can be purchased online or in store at 1101 N. Keller Road, Suite G-3 , Orlando, FL 32810. Please review our new policy regarding uniforms as outlined in the Back to School Packet. New this year, students may not wear Sunshine uniforms; they may only wear Dennis Uniforms, including Dennis bottoms.
The TCS Back to School Packet, which contains useful information regarding school supplies, policies, and upcoming events, can be found here.
Two TCS students, Mia (8th grade) and Olivia (1st grade) recently participated in the National American Miss Pageant. Out of 113 contestants in the Jr Teen division (13-15 year olds), Mia placed in the Top 20, and she also received First Runner Up for Resume, First Runner Up for Academic Achievements, and Fourth Runner Up for Casual Wear Modeling. Olivia placed First Runner Up overall out of 81 girls. Based on her placement, she has been invited to Nationals in CA. Congratulations to both girls!
Let’s celebrate the first day of school, August 16, 1987! On Thursday, August 17th, students can wear their best “80’s gear” to school, and we will enjoy birthday cupcakes and classroom parties throughout the day!
