Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. Isaiah 43:2. Last spring, our programs experienced a flooding of water. And the water ran deep, and God was there. Out of this flooding of water, came news of a restored, renovated, and refreshed building. And the blessings ran deep, and God was there. We then learned that all of The Extended Educational Programs would move to the E2 building from 1st floor to 3rd floor. And our school family ties ran deep, and God was there. Words cannot describe how blessed, humbled, and excited we are to welcome you all to the newly restored E2 building and home of all TEEP programs on Monday, August 15th!
Welcome back, TCS families! We are excited for the 2016-2017 school year. As the new paint dries, and we adjust to our remodeled surroundings, I do not want us to forget about our mission for all of our students. Over the coming weeks, I will focus on elements from our School’s Mission Statement. “Prepare children for life as Christian leaders who choose character before career….” This statement exemplifies our desire for students to go above and beyond to demonstrate Christ-like character, whether they are in public or private. They show this character for His glory, not for their own interest. Remember to not fall into the trap of surrounding yourselves with those who are not likeminded in this statement, for in 1 Corinthians 15:32-34 states, “Bad company corrupts good character.” Let us focus on being more like Christ, no matter who is watching or for own interest.
This week’s spotlight is on new teacher Grace Crosby. Miss Crosby is a graduate of Liberty University with a degree in youth ministry and a Master’s of Divinity in Professional Ministries. She loves serving at Northland Church in her small group and the youth ministry. During her spare time she enjoys going to the beach, watching movies, reading and doing nature photography. Her favorite movie is Man Who Would Be King and her favorite book is a toss-up between Screwtape Letters and Bonehoeffer.
We can’t wait for August 16th to get here. We have been waiting all summer to have your students back in our NEW classrooms! It is going to be a GREAT year!
See you all Tuesday at 7:55!
If an item your family ordered from Dennis Uniforms is on back order, your child may wear non-Dennis uniform bottoms until that item arrives. Dennis Uniforms provided a comprehensive list of families whose items are on back order and are assisting with expediting these orders as soon as possible.
Remember to arrive at 7:25 AM on our first day of school. We will be greeting all of the students as they arrive on campus. Wear your Senior t-shirts and uniform bottoms.
We have beautiful classrooms with new carpet! Students may only have water to drink in the classrooms, with the exception for during lunch. Parents, please help us keep the rooms looking nice by using caution with the types of foods and drinks you send in lunches. We are so grateful to First Orlando for providing these nice classrooms!
All high school students will be drug tested within the next few weeks. We will notify students and parents of the date once it is set.
This is a required meeting for all parents of high school students and will take place on August 23rd from 11 AM – 12:30 PM. We will be going over important information that students and parents need to know for high school and beyond.
As we begin the new year, please remember our teachers only have 2 days with your student each week. Being in class, on time and ready to learn is essential for their academic progress. We greatly appreciate your assistance in this area.
Picture Day is Tuesday, August 23. Make sure your favorite color uniform shirt is washed and ready!
