The Classical School Blog, Week of March 16th

Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:

A Message from Sarah Donovan, Principal of Extended Educational Programs

Since 1984, Walt Disney World Resort has collaborated with local school districts to identify and recognize young people who have demonstrated excellence in their schools and communities. Dreamer and Doers are celebrated for the many ways they are engaged in taking positive action to improve their communities, homes, and schools. This year TCS and The First Hope students had the opportunity to be recognized as our first Disney Dreamers & Doers. And the winners are in! Please join me in congratulating these students for their stellar work in serving in their classrooms, neighborhoods, and communities!

A Message from Joe Fana,  Principal of The Classical School

Spring has sprung!  Although we are having unseasonably cooler weather this week, Spring is upon us.  Spring is a marvelous time of renewal.  A time where new things can be brought to life after a cooler (if not harsh for many) Winter.  I would like to think that Spring Break offers us that same type of new life.  Our entire TCS family has worked diligently this year – faculty and staff, parents, and students.  Take time this Spring Break to remember all that has been accomplished and prepare to finish this year with a new zeal that can only come from Him.  May you all be blessed this coming week.

2nd Grade

Mrs. Stephens’ 2nd grade students created a class schedule timeline as part of their social studies unit. The students had so much fun and did a great job on it!

Pi Day

March 14th is often known as Pi Day (Pi = 3.14…), which happened to fall on a TCS school day this year. Students in grades 7 – 12th celebrated with a small individual pie during math class, and there were decorations throughout the halls to honor this day. Mrs. McDaniel and Mrs. Tower worked hard to put together this fun day for our math students.

Mrs. McDaniel and Mrs. Tower helped students celebrate Pi Day.
