A Message from Sarah Donovan, Principal of Extended Educational Programs
Joy in the simplest form of gratitude. We are grateful for the tremendous joy your children bring to our programs at TCS, The First Hope, and The Early Learning Center preschool. Sending blessings for a Thanksgiving holiday filled with love, laughter, and joy!
This is Michelle’s seventh year at TCS. She teaches Middle School science and math. She loves the small classes, the amazing students, and the unique partnership with parents. Her favorite memory was of a 7th and 8th grade class performing a flash mob in the middle of one of her classes.
Outside the classroom, she loves spending time with her family and finding adventures to go on with them. She’s not picky when it comes to vacations. She’s fine as long as there’s a beach.
NEW THIS WEEK
4th Grade Writes About Oreos
Fourth grade taste tested two different cookies and wrote about their similarities and differences. What a yummy assignment!
Time to Breathe- A Devotional from PJ Wehry
As we enter into the week of Thanksgiving, our holiday obligations can overtake us. The turkey, the stuffing, and the mashed potatoes become an epic quest for motherly perfection. Or perhaps dad has an overwhelming need to watch the classic Thanksgiving football game. Family often come for Thanksgiving, and they bring their own delights… and burdens. There is nothing wrong with turkey, football, or family, but as we approach this holiday, do not forget what it is about. Give thanks this week. Take the time to stop, count your blessings, and thank the God who gave all good things to you.
On Thursday, November 19, from 11:30-1:00 PM, we will be celebrating our annual Thanksgiving Family Feast! This is a time where TCS families gather together for a Thanksgiving lunch and TCS students in grades K-5 and our Fall Choir put on a presentation.
This will be a ticketed event for the lunch portion of the Feast. You will pick up your tickets at the event registration table. Those family members who are not eating will not be required to have a ticket.
