A Message from Sarah Donovan, Principal of Extended Educational Programs
At next week’s The First Hope Mom’s Fellowship meeting, Patty and I are hosting a SWOT. The SWOT acronym represents Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. As Patty and I plan for next year and the future of The First Hope, it is so important to receive input, ideas, and celebrations from our families. The Mom’s Fellowship meeting is on Tuesday, November 17th at 8:00am in Cafe on the Rock. I will also be hosting a SWOT at the December TCS & TFH Parent Association meeting for TCS future planning. Family feedback is one of the most valuable pieces to supporting the future of TFA’s Extended Educational Programs. Hope to see you there!
Note From Mrs. Grayson Merritt (Director/Assistant Principal)
Thank you so much for all of your donations for our TELC Gives Back collection event. It is not too late to send in your nonperishable food donations for the food drive, baby items and baked goods. Friday, November 20th is our last day to collect before the Thanksgiving break. Just a reminder we do not have school the week of Monday, November 25th-Friday, November 29th.
As a reminder, here is where we are asking for your support:
Food Drive: Beginning Monday, November 2nd, please send in non-perishable food items (canned vegetables, canned fruit, rice, beans, etc.) We will be collecting these items in the front offices. On Thursday, November 19th, we will be blessing the new Grace Ministry of First Baptist Orlando with our food donations to help stock food pantries for those in need this holiday season.
We thank you in advance for partnering with us during the month of November as we “give back” and to be models to our children. As as staff, we feel it is important, for the children to see how we are the “hands and feet of Jesus” and that we model how to serve and show gratitude to those who have helped us and who don’t have what we do.
Wishing you a blessed week!
Mrs. Grayson Merritt
Mrs. Ashli’s Toddler class has had so much fun over the last month in their new class!
