Preschool Spotlight & Reminders:
*TFA Preschool Gives Back
During the month of November, we will be focusing in the classroom on the theme of serving others. We feel it is important, especially with the holidays coming up, that we teach the children how important it is to serve and help others as well as others to be the hands and feet of Jesus. As a school family we want to be sure we model how to serve and show gratitude to those who have helped us and who don’t have what we do.
During November, we will have 2 different opportunities for your family to “give back”.
*Baby Item Donation: Monday, October 30-Friday, November 10 we will be collecting items for the First Baptist Pregnancy Center. Please consider donating any gently used baby items or new packages of diapers/wipes and formula for the pregnancy center. These items may be dropped off in the Preschool Office.
*Thanksgiving Dinner Basket Food Donation:
-Canned Items: green beans, gravy, cream of mushroom soup, cranberry sauce, corn, pie filling, pumpkin, yams, chicken stock
-Boxed Items: French’s French Fried Onions, stuffing, mashed potato flakes, quick bread/corn bread mix
-Gift Certificate for turkey ($10 gift card for Publix or Walmart)
We will be collecting these items in the Preschool Office. The last day to drop off items will be on Wednesday, November 15th. We will be delivering our collected items (in collaboration with TFA’s Varsity Lacrosse team) to help with thanksgiving dinner baskets for local elementary schools for families in need this holiday season.
TFA Open House
The First Academy Admissions Office will host Open House THIS Sunday, November 12 from 2:00-4:00PM. This event provides a great opportunity for prospective students and their parents to meet current students, parents, teachers, and leadership. Families are provided a personal tour of the campus and have the opportunity to talk with our award-winning athletic and fine arts departments. If you are a current family and have another child who is interested in applying to The First Academy, please feel free to RSVP and join us for the event. Families RSVP via this link: https://thefirstacademy.org/admissions/events/
If you are a parent in our 3’s program, please make plans to attend the Open House and visit our KPrep classrooms.
KPrep Registration process has already begun for Fall 2018. Space for the 2018-2019 school year in the KPrep program will be limited so please be sure to submit your application before Christmas break so that we can begin the screening to ensure a spot.
