A MESSAGE FROM SARAH DONOVAN, DIRECTOR OF THE EXTENDED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Since 1984, Walt Disney World Resort has collaborated with local school districts to identify and recognize young people who have demonstrated excellence in their schools and communities. Disney Dreamer and Doers are celebrated for the many ways they are engaged in taking positive action to improve their communities, homes, and schools. This year TCS and The First Hope students had the opportunity to be recognized as our first Disney Dreamers & Doers. And the winners are in! Please join me in congratulating these students for their stellar work in serving in their classrooms, neighborhoods, and communities!

 CLASS AND STUDENT SPOTLIGHTS

Our Kindergarten through 5th grade students celebrated Grandparents Day on Tuesday, March 7th by inviting their nana, papa, grandpa, or grandma to come visit them on campus.  Our treasured guests started their visit by enjoying some refreshments and then joined their grandchildren in the classroom setting. The kids were so excited to introduce their grandparents to their friends and teachers.  In some classes, the students and their grandparents did a craft together or took part in a photo shoot. Regardless of the activities they took part in, the most precious gift was that of the time spent together. Grandparents play such a special part in our children’s lives and it meant so much to recognize and celebrate them.

PRINCIPAL’S NOTE

We are about to go on a week long break. As a parent you ask yourself, “What will my child do all week without their school routines?”

Here are some ideas for spring break fun with your family:

I know we are all so busy these days, but take the time 1x a day at least to plan something fun with your child.  They will love it and it will fill you up to.

Have a great Spring Break!
