Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:
Sign up for our Spring Aftercare Sports Program that Mr. Matt and Mr. Chessie lead. It is on Tuesdays and Thursdays only from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Get your registration in now. The first day will be January 3.
Pastors give more of their hearts, souls, and time than arguably any other profession (teachers are way up there too :). In 1992 a missional movement began to uplift pastors, missionaries, and religious workers; so began Pastor Appreciation Day in October. We now recognize October as Pastor Appreciation Month. I encourage you to take time this month to extend a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to your pastor and their family. Whether it is a simple word of thanks or a small gift, it will surely mean so much to those who have dedicated their lives to ensuring the path is strong and bright in our walks with the Lord. TFA will be celebrating our amazing FBO pastors and staff with a shared luncheon on Monday, October 10th. We are so grateful for their unwavering support and partnership!
Hurricane Matthew may have cut short the festivities of Homecoming Week, but both the staff and students made the most of the Crazy Hair and Crazy Hat dress up days.
October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month. It is important to focus less on the disabilities aspect and focus more on the incredible abilities these individuals possess as well as to emphasize the phenomenal achievements and important strides so many of these individuals have made. See below the calendar that LDA (Learning Disabilities Association of America) has shared. It offers free webinars, links to great apps, and a wealth of information not only about learning disabilities, but additional resources that could be helpful to you and your family.
