Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:
The Center for Contemporary Dance proudly offers a series of specialty dance classes for students with Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and cerebral palsy, including those requiring the use of a wheelchair.
This past weekend Mason Weinberg earned a bronze medal in his division in the Special Olympics State Golf Competition. Not everyone has the opportunity to podium, so it was a huge accomplishment that he got a medal. Congratulations Mason! We are so very proud of you!
Transitions + Secondary Lead Teacher
Walkiria comes to us with nearly a decade of teaching experience. She is originally from Nicaragua and has been in the US for the last 16 years. Presently, she lives in Orlando with her husband Ron and two children, Sarah and Noah. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and cooking. One of her favorite bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
The First Hope has had the privilege for the last 2 years to have Max our therapy dog that Mrs. Foss (TCS parent) shares with our Transitions+ students. We have now added another therapy dog to our program that will visit every couple weeks or so named Blue. He is one of our new student’s therapy dogs. Thank you Clayton for sharing Blue with us to visit your fellow inclusion peers. We have a great time with both therapy dogs and are blessed to have them visit. When Max visited last week Kai was able to say the word “dog” so clearly!
