State Thespian Festival

Our students from Thespian Troupe 5165 represented us at the Florida State Thespian Festival in Tampa March 15-18. These students competed at the district level, and the top 6 scorers earning Superior ratings continued on to the State level. Congratulations to these students!

Congratulations to Jiuwel S. (11th), who received a second place Award of Distinction 2D for her colored pencil ‘Tibetan Smile’, and Sylvia L. (9th), who received a second place Award of Distinction 3D for her composite dish ‘Dead Leaf’ at the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival 2017!

Mr. Harrison’s AP Computer Science students competed in a high school programming tournament on March 16th at UCF. The students showed great improvement from last year, and the juniors look forward to returning next year to compete again. More info here.

Upper School Students Spread Encouragement to Millennia Elementary Students

US students donate to Millennia Elem students.

TFA Upper School students and faculty donated items for the 3rd graders of Millennia Elementary School to encourage them as they take their first Florida Standards Assessments!  Millennia Elementary School is a Title I school that our students have partnered within the last year to provide food donations to help those in need.

Thank you to our Juniors, Jessica L, Annie M, and Maclay R. for taking charge of this great opportunity to serve those in our community!

Light It Up Blue

The First Hope of The First Academy is committed to bringing awareness of individuals with Autism to our school community. Standing Tall: The Koby Morgan Story was recently shared with TFA families and reminds us of the important work done at The First Academy everyday.

April is Autism Awareness Month. Please support your fellow Royals by wearing BLUE on Thursday, April 6th. All TFA divisions, including The Extended Educational Programs, are invited to participate in this special awareness.
