The safety of our students and families is our number one priority at The First Academy. In order to allow our families the time to prepare for the potential effects of Hurricane Matthew, all divisions of the First Academy will be closed on Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October 7. This closure includes our TEEP divisions (The Classical School, The First Hope, The Preschool & The Virtual Academy).
All after-school activities are also canceled on these dates. This includes our Homecoming Pep-Rally, originally scheduled for this Thursday evening.
All of the Homecoming festivities scheduled for Friday evening (football game, half-time court ceremony, etc.) will be rescheduled for Friday, October 21 vs. North Florida Educational Institute. The game scheduled for tomorrow vs. P.K. Yonge is canceled. Upper School families were notified that the Homecoming Dance has been postponed to Saturday, October 22.
Please continue to monitor our website at www.thefirstacademy.org for TFA’s latest updates regarding the hurricane and tropical weather.
