Mr. Chris Krieger, Senior Director of Technology
Mr. Chris Krieger serves as the Senior Director of Technology at The First Academy, where he is grateful for the opportunity to lead the Technology Department into 2026 and beyond.
Mr. Krieger grew up in Sayreville, New Jersey, and attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Edison, New Jersey, graduating in 2015. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in National Security Studies, with a focus in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, graduating in 2019. His education and passion for technology and cybersecurity ultimately led him to a career focused on using technology to support students, faculty, and staff.
After college, Mr. Krieger met his now-wife, Amanda, whom he considers the greatest blessing in his life. Amanda ultimately brought him to The First Academy community, and he is incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve TFA and lead its Technology Department. He considers it a privilege to use his background and experience to help advance TFA’s mission while ensuring technology supports academic excellence across the school.
Although Florida has become home, Mr. Krieger remains deeply connected to his family in Sayreville, New Jersey, and greatly misses having them nearby. As an only child, he grew up especially close with his extended family. Being the youngest boy among his cousins meant he was rarely treated like an only child, and those relationships helped shape his strong appreciation for family, loyalty, and the importance of staying connected.
Mr. Krieger believes technology should ultimately be about people, not devices. He is blessed to serve alongside the faculty and staff of The First Academy and looks forward to continuing to build a Technology Department that supports students, teachers, families, and TFA’s Christ-centered mission for years to come.

Rob Hensley, Senior Director of Operations
Mr. Rob Hensley moved to Central Florida in 2007 to serve as the Principal of the Upper School. In his time at TFA, Mr. Hensley has also worked as a Guidance Counselor, Latin Teacher and Director of Technology and as of 2020, the Director of Operations. Today he serves as the Senior Director of Operations and is responsible for the physical campus of The First Academy.
Mr. Hensley was educated at Union University in Jackson, TN where he received his BA in Biblical Theology and Greek. He went on to attend and graduate from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY where he earned an M.Div. He served at Whitefield Academy in Louisville, KY where he was a Latin Teacher, Fine Arts Director, Upper School Principal and finally the Head of School. Mr. Hensley has served Christian schools since 1994.
Mr. Hensley understands the value of family. He married Janet in 1986 and together they had two children. Erin graduated from Whitefield in Louisville and Kirk graduated from TFA. Today, Mr. Hensley has two grandchildren who are in the elementary school here at TFA. He has had the distinct privilege of daily walking the journey of K-12 education with his children and now is doing it again with his grandchildren.
The First Academy’s Christ-centered environment is a perfect complement to his family’s ambitions to serve the Lord for the purpose of the Kingdom.

Chris Krieger
