RECOGNITION
Seniors Enjoy Fellowship on Senior Retreat
This past weekend from August 11th-13th, the TFA Senior Class of 2017 embarked on their Senior retreat. This year’s Senior Retreat was unlike any of those before it, as the venue was changed from its traditional location at the beach, to Ocklawaha, FL at a retreat center called Southwind. This year’s retreat was also different, as alumni came to serve our Seniors through helping with small groups, serving meals, and cleaning the dining hall after each meal throughout the duration of the retreat. Both changes were met by positive responses from the Senior class, as they were discipled through the investment of time and energy from the alumni who came to serve. Seniors also thoroughly enjoyed the countless amenities and activities Southwind had to offer, which included a huge water slide, pool, lake, paddle boards, kayaks, and much more. Not only was the class able to bond through times of fun and fellowship, but they also grew deeper in their relationships with one another and with the Lord through messages shared by various speakers, times of worship led by their fellow classmates, and sharing in small groups, led by teachers and faculty.

Cafe on the Rock Student Ordering Schedule
US students can order from Cafe on the Rock according to the following schedule:
Monday: Seniors
Tuesday: Seniors
Wednesday: Juniors
Thursday: Sophomores
Friday: Freshmen
Students may not eat in the Cafe on the Rock area unless accompanied by an adult. Orders must be placed by 10am using this link: https://www.orderstart.com/cafeontherock
REMINDERS
iPad Pick Up
If students have not completed their iPad Orientation Course or scheduled their pick-up, they will need to use their current iPads during the first few days of school. We will not have pick-up during the morning nor during Genius Bar times. There are 20 slots available each day after school to sign-up from 3:15-4:00. Students are prompted to sign up for a slot after they have completed the iPad Orientation Course in Canvas: https://thefirstacademy.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?calendarID=575010
Student Drug Testing
All Upper School students will be drug tested August 25-26 during the school day. The schedule will be posted outside Ms. Gooseman’s office downstairs and Mr. Chambers’ office upstairs. Students should report to the Gym Lobby with their student ID at their designated testing time.
