2021-2022 Advanced Degree Accomplishments

The First Academy is proud to celebrate two of our team members who received advanced degrees during the 2021-2022 school year.

Amanda Whitaker (second from right) is an Alumna of The First Academy (class of 2012). She currently serves as the Middle and Upper School Librarian and leads TFA’s Writing Center. She received her Master’s of Science in Information Studies from Florida State University in December of 2021. Amanda shares the positive impact this degree has had professionally and spiritually:  “Professionally, this degree offered me the opportunity to learn different skills so that I can better serve TFA’s community. In terms of my personal walk, it was a great exercise in trusting the Lord’s timing and practicing gratitude, especially for a wonderful place to work as a school librarian- The First Academy!”
