We are very excited to announce that we will be conducting our 2nd annual toy drive on Friday, October 26 at the varsity football game. With Veterans Day around the corner, we thought this would be a great way to support and encourage those who have served our nation so faithfully. We are partnering with Camaraderie Foundation once again this year to help bring joy to veterans and their families this holiday season.
Camaraderie Foundation is a non-profit that provides post 9/11 Service Members and their families with support, encouragement, and counseling to alleviate the stress associated with their transition from the battlefield back into society. They accomplish this through counseling services, mentoring for reintegration into the workforce and home life, as well as with Family Fun Days. For more information about Camaraderie, we invite you to watch this short video:
We love our veterans. Last year, Athletics collected over 100 toys for the Camaraderie Foundation and this year we as a school family hope to go above and beyond that number!
If you and your family would like to participate please pick up an angel from the Middle or Upper School front desk that will list a gender, age, toy suggestion, and ways to pray for a child and their family this holiday season (instructions included on back of angel). All purchased toys can be dropped off in the designated “A Royal Toy Drive” box located in the Middle or Upper School lobby or brought to the varsity football game on Friday, October 26. If by chance you are not able to pick up an angel please feel free to still donate a toy or gift card!
We thank you in advance for partnering with us as we love on these children and their families this holiday season!
