Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Prayer is powerful. It’s the greatest gift we can give those we love, the greatest gift we have. The Bible tells us to bring our prayer request to God with confidence. He invites, encourages, and wants us to talk to him. When we stop what we are doing for just a few moments each day, and intentionally and persistently pray, He answers.

Lauren Sorenson is a Lower School mom who believes in the power of prayer and she loves getting families connected to TFA. So she started a weekly TFA Parent Prayer Walk. This special group of parents walks the perimeter of campus each week and prays for protection over our students, teachers, and school community. Lauren even provides parents with a helpful prayer guide. These Prayer Walks are nothing formal, no pressure, and parents can pray silently or as a group. I invite you to consider signing up for a timeslot to walk TFA’s perimeter and pray this fall.

Tuesday morning our School Board met for our annual fall meeting. As we concluded the meeting, I thanked them all for their daily prayers over our school. I truly believe that we have been blessed beyond measure thus far this school year because of our powerful army of prayer warriors. Thank you for continuing to include The First Academy in your prayers.
